A futuristic re-telling of
Shakespeare’s great tragedy
for both adults and children.

National Shakespeare week in March, will see a re-telling of Macbeth… taken into the futuristic world of 2070. The production, by Daramatic productions showing at  Poole Lighthouse 26th-29th March. is re-written in futuristic language by BAFTA Award winner, John Foster.

2070. The Earth is dead and its population has resettled on Mars.

Aboard a military spaceship, Captain James Macbeth returns to the subterranean zone of New London, to receive commendations from the armed forces supremo Commander Paul Duncan.

Macbeth is the acknowledged hero of the Alien Wars but during a terrifying meteorite storm, along with his pilot, Thomas Banquo, he experiences ghostly visitations and spirits who warn Macbeth of his inherent evil…
