Fail to stop collision in Bournemouth – Driver sought

Police in Bournemouth are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a fail to stop road traffic collision in the town.

At 10.50am on Monday 10 December 2012, a cyclist fell off his bicycle while trying to avoid a collision with a green car at the junction of Withermoor Road and Woodend Road.

The cyclist, a 19-year-old Bournemouth man, sustained a broken arm.

The driver of the green car failed to stop at the scene.

Police Constable Jamie Griffin, of Dorset Police Traffic Unit, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, and anyone who is able to identify the motorist who failed to stop at the scene, to contact me urgently.

“I would also urge the driver in question to do the right thing and speak with the police.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
